Career Centers of Texas
Career Centers of Texas is now a part of Kaplan College, and the Corpus Christi campus offers a vocational nursing diploma program to aspiring nursing students. The Kaplan College vocational nursing diploma program prepares students for entry-level positions in practical nursing, with a professional education and hands-on experience.
The Career Centers of Texas/Kaplan College vocational nursing program provides students with the training and background to deliver care to a range of patients in many clinical settings. Through the vocational nursing program, nursing students can learn the nursing theory, anatomical background, and practical hands-on skills that they need to begin entry-level careers in vocational nursing.
Students in the vocational nursing program learn a wide variety of theory and skills. The Career Centers of Texas nursing education includes things like: basic patient care, post-surgical patient care, pediatric patient care, pre-natal and post-natal nursing care, and care for the elderly. Students who successfully complete the vocational nursing program at Kaplan College can enter the nursing field in many settings, including hospitals, physicians’ offices, schools, correctional facilities, emergency facilities, and outpatient facilities.
Students who are interested in applying for the vocational nursing diploma program should contact Kaplan College directly for admissions requirements. At the minimum, students must provide proof of a high school diploma or a high school equivalency certificate. To successfully apply for the vocational nursing program, students may be required to meet additional prerequisites.
Financial aid is available for Kaplan College students.
