Offering an Associate's degree in Practical Nursing as well as a Diploma in Practical Nursing, Rasmussen College trains individuals for careers as practical nurses in a fast-growing profession.

The programs teach students anatomy, physiology, psychology, pharmacology, nutrition, maternal nursing, and geriatric nursing as well as proper patient care, first aid, collecting samples, comforting patients who may be hurt, and effective communication. The Associate's degree in Practical Nursing also helps students prepare for licensure.

The Associate's degree in Practical Nursing program is approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing and graduates will be eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).
